For nearly 700 years, the Cloisters were part of a Cistercian monastery. In 1925 the Monastery was dismantled and sent to the US by William Randolph Hearst. The local people there are experts in fishing and they practice it everyday as also whenever they get free time. They take fishing into consideration as a sport and not as a profession.
